The Local Licensing Authority meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 2:00 p.m. in the Municipal Court Room, City Hall, 101 West 8th Street, Glenwood Springs.
The City of Glenwood Springs marijuana licensing was developed in conjunction with State law and the City of Glenwood Municipal Code to accommodate both medical marijuana centers and retail medical stores. The location and operation of medical marijuana centers, marijuana retail stores and grow operations are strictly regulated through the zoning process. This comprehensive dual application review process follows both state guidelines and our local application process, which require background checks for all operators, extensive security features, safety and signage measures and minimum setbacks from schools, day care centers and residential uses.
