The wastewater treatment facility went online in August of 2012. It was designed by SGM and Tetra Tech for flows of 2.3 millions gallons a day. The type of treatment is extended aeration with aerobic digesters and oxidation ditches. Odor control is provided by air ionization and air circulation. After the water is treated, it is disinfected by ultra violet radiation and discharged into the Colorado River west of the Midland Bridge in West Glenwood.
