Resolution 2020-25, Amending the Engineering Standards (Chapter 2 and 5)

Engineering completed this in conjunction/coordination with the Community Development Department’s revisions of the development code with the intent of creating a living document that will allow Council/Engineering and Public Works to make adjustments to technical standards as needed to accommodate an ever changing world of design standards and construction techniques without having to change the overall City guidelines that are implemented within the Municipal Code.

Development Code

In June, 2015, the City contracted with Clarion Associates, a national land-use and real estate consulting firm, to review the City’s development regulations (Municipal Code Title 070) and to recommend changes in the formatting and substance of the existing code.

In 2016, Clarion began the process of updating and redrafting the city’s Development Code.

City Council approved the Updated Development Code on August 2, 2018. The new code codes into effect on August 16, 2018. For more information about the development code, please contact Hannah Klausman
