Saturday, August 5, 2023: RiverFEST Cleanup

The City's annual river cleanup hosted by the River Commission at Two Rivers Park.

9am-12pm - It begins along the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers corridor in Glenwood Springs with a combination float and bank-walking trash pickup event. You can walk the bank or float in your own boat!

12pm-3pm - It ends in Two Rivers Park with a celebration for participants who will be treated to a catered picnic, where they can listen to live music, dance, sample local microbrewery beers, relax, trade stories, and celebrate a wonderful community accomplishment.

TBA September 2023: RiverFEST Riparian Planting

The City's annual riparian repair event hosted by the River Commission and the Parks Department. More event details coming soon.

ONGOING: Green Collar Program 

The Parks Department now has a flexible program for volunteers to help out with a variety of projects!  Some of the projects you can help with include:

• Tree planting
• Trail building and cleanup
• Park clean up
• Invasive species removal
• Garden maintenance
• Garden build-outs
